The Story

A little while ago we started talking to Anthropologie. Even before the conversations started we knew we would get along. Whilst Anthropologie may have shops across the globe and we maybe small by comparison the feeling behind both brands couldn’t be closer, as are our loyal customers. And we are really proud to be working with such a great brand.

"Bert & May are one of the most exciting interiors brands today, with their work genuinely straddling the line between art and design. We are thrilled to be collaborating with this fabulous team and consider their designs a natural fit with the Anthropologie style” Zoe Hodson at Anthropologie

At Bert & May we believe our customers know what they want in their home, have their own interior style. They care about where and how pieces are made. We find, make and curate interior pieces and architectural homewares allowing our customers to style and create their own interior story. We are passionate about the artisan techniques and where pieces have come from. Our reclaimed is and will always be in our DNA as is the raw finish of materials.

What you’ll find at Anthropologie Kings Road.

You’ll see a curated collection of our natural pigment tiles in our unique colours. Along with our patina brassware and handmade concrete basins. Our fabrics, reclaimed finds from our travels, antique pieces of furniture, basins, vintage taps, curiosities and more.

Inspired by Anthropologie we’ve gone soft and delicate.

White & Gold

We’ve created a new design inspired by Anthropologie’s soft and delicate palette. Introducing our Octagon tile in white and gold. Gold tips and flashes of gold delight, hints of glamour, but pared back with our honest and raw washed out natural pigment colours on a brighton stone backdrop.

Pink Pradena

And introducing a new addition to the Luna family, our Pradena tile in a hexagonal shape! The warm pink softens the traditional geometric design and gives it a contemporary edge. This shade is created with natural pigments, making it very easy to live with. The ideal way to introduce the trend for pink into your home.

Tiles as Art

We see beauty in simple things and old found vintage tiles are our thing. We see these as pieces of art. Place on a wall, shelf, mantelpiece or as a unique table setting. We collect vintage tiles for the love of them, there’s an element of mad collector about Lee and the team at Bert & May and we are bringing an edited collection to the gallery.

Rugs

We are about the raw finish and the texture and there is something rather lovely about the mix of textures, smoothness of the tiles and the worn fabric of a vintage rug under foot! We’ve found a few special rugs and a lovely new finder from North Yorkshire. Emma of Handmade Rug company and Bert & May have curated an exclusive collection of rugs available only in Anthropologie Kings Rd and Bert & May Chelsea.
