Embarking on a new interiors project? The Bert & May design team loves a challenge. Whether you’re planning a room refresh or redesigning an entire property, our expert designers are here to help. Come and visit us at our East London showroom or our Yorkshire show home for a free consultation to learn more about our collections and kick-start your project.

How does it work?

The Bert & May design philosophy is underpinned by authenticity, from the raw materials to the finishing touches. That’s why we prefer a collaborative approach. Ahead of your visit, gather together as much information as you can to give our designers a clear idea of your taste and your project. Come armed with floor plans and magazine cuttings, or simply send us a link to a Pinterest Board of your favourite images.

What if I don’t know what I want?

Don’t worry if you’re just getting started. Use your appointment as a way to get the inspiration flowing. Chat to our design team about the task at hand and the kind of space you’d like to create.

They can talk you through our extensive range of materials, paints and fabrics, and share images of some of their favourite Bert & May projects – from architect-designed kitchens and bathrooms to contemporary modular homes.

What happens next?

Your free consultation lasts an hour, during which our team will provide you with detailed advice to help you move your project forward. If you’d like us to help with next steps, we can discuss a quote for further assistance with planning and implementation.

I’d love to visit you, but I can’t make it to a showroom.

No problem. Our online design service allows you to work with one of our talented designers without the need for a face-to-face meeting. Simply call us for a chat or complete our simple design questionnaire, then email the team with pictures and measurements of the spaces you’re tackling. If you have inspirational images or specific pieces you'd like us to see, send those over too.  After establishing the direction of the design, we'll begin work on your personalised moodboard.

What’s on my moodboard?

Your moodboard will bring together fabric swatches, materials and paint colours to give you an overview of your scheme. It’s totally bespoke to your project and will help you visualise how our products will work in your space.

When can I start shopping?

Once you’re completely happy with the plan for your project, you will receive a detailed shopping list of the products needed to complete it. These will either be available to purchase on the Bert & May website, or sourced for you by our knowledgeable team.
