The Bert & May Take on Chequerboard

The chequerboard has been enjoying a bit of a moment recently and has been included in many current interior schemes in several different guises. This simple geometric has of course been a perennial design for much longer and while its popularity ebbs and flows, it very much remains a classic. Its angular simplicity and versatility make it a great pattern for tiling and has been long admired at Bert & May.   

To celebrate our love for this timeless design, we have created a new collection of ready-made chequerboard tiles in five new colour combinations from our unique palette. Whether it is to be the backdrop or focus of a scheme, our chequerboard tiles can make a statement or sit well in a more pared-back setting. They can be set square or as a diamond depending on the shape of a room and desired look.  

In addition to our new collection, we have a number of different options in our range to create a chequerboard depending on the scale and material required. Our Plain Square tiles are available in a variety of sizes and our Alalpardo can create even bigger cheques for those who want to make some serious impact.
