Pallet Delivery

Your order will arrive on a palletised kerbside delivery or a large parcel with a third-party delivery company. Due to insurance policies the driver will not be able to assist you with carrying your order into your home or de palletise the delivery. The pallet will be left with you, and you will be required to dispose of this yourselves.  Delivery charges are for one pallet and quoted excluding VAT.

Northern Ireland delivery 

Transit adds approximately 1 week to lead times on the website depending on the location. An XIEORI is required for shipment.

ROI delivery

Transit adds approximately 1 week to lead times on the website depending on the location. Irish Taxes are included unless VAT deferment is requested. Customs checks can delay shipments and Bert and May are not liable for any delays caused. Customs clearance may require additional information before release.

EU delivery

All shipments through the freight network require a VAT and EORI number. Transit adds approximately 2-4 weeks to lead times on the website depending on the location. Customs checks can delay shipments and Bert and May are not liable for any delays caused. Customs clearance may require additional information or payment of duties and charges before release.

US delivery

Samples shipping from $40.

Tile deliveries to the US require a shipping quote as it is dependent on weight and location, all shipments require a completed W9 form. Transit by sea adds approximately 5-8 weeks to lead times on the website depending on the location. All customs charges and tariffs are included in the cost. Customs checks can delay shipments and Bert and May are not liable for any delays caused. Customs clearance may require additional information before release.

Worldwide tile deliveries require a shipping quote as it is dependent on weight and location, additional paperwork may be required before dispatch. Delivery Information and Checks

    • Our pallet deliveries are carried out on a large lorry, please inform us if such vehicle would struggle to access outside of your property (i.e. narrow roads, low bridges, no parking). Once we know, we can enquire about making appropriate arrangements. Re-delivery carries an additional charge if they are unable to gain access or leave the items.
    • Please note that the delivery time frame is between 9am and 5pm on the day of delivery and routes are created on the morning of delivery. Someone will need to be present to accept the delivery.
    • Please be aware that whilst we will do everything we can to get your order to you on time, we do not recommend booking trade persons until you are in receipt of your goods.
    • The tiles are heavy and most will arrive in boxes each weighing approximately 20-25kg. Please make appropriate arrangements if you require assistance moving the items to your desired location on the delivery date.
    • Please thoroughly check your order upon receipt to ensure correct quantity received/correct product received/no damages have occurred. Any discrepancies must be reported to help@bertandmay within 24 hours of delivery. 
    • If you are not ready to accept delivery, we can hold your order free of charge for a maximum of 4 weeks. Thereafter a storage charge of £15 + vat per week/per pallet will be incurred.

Quantity Check

  • It is important to check the quantity ordered is correct for your design. Our designers are happy to help with information provided but we advise these are double checked by yourself before placing your order.
  • Stock ‘Top Up’ orders, regardless of quantity carry a delivery charge. Batches may vary.
  • Made to Order ‘Top Up’ orders will be 6-8 weeks and carry the European pallet delivery charge, if the original order is in production increasing the quantity may extend the delivery timescale.
  • We suggest adding 10% to the quantity, each project is different and your trade professional will be able to advise on your project.
