Inspired by a reclaimed find, our London design team have given some vitality to this neoclassical pattern by combining it with three of our chalky colours.
Sitting comfortably in both traditional or modern settings, the geometry of the design allows a number of ways in which this tile can be set depending on whether you are looking for something formulaic or a little more complex. The Sanabria Strong Brew tile features Strong Brew; a rich terracotta toned orange, Pork Pie; a velvety soft brown and Moth; our pink toned neutral.

We are immensely proud to have grown Bert & May alongside the same family of tile makers in Córdoba, Spain. Felix and his family are fourth-generation artisans, and together we have spent years perfecting what we believe to be some of the finest encaustic tiles in the world.
Every tile is still made by hand by a skilled team of artisans. There are no machine-perfect edges or clinical finishes here. Each tile carries the subtle imprint of the person who made it - a gentle variation in colour, texture and shape that makes every installation feel completely unique.
And yes, encaustic tiles ask a little more of you. They are beautifully substantial to lay and need a simple seal to protect them. But we think that is a small price to pay for something made with such care.
