This tile marks popham design’s debut in terrazzo and the first time we have created pattern with this material, bringing two distinct design languages together through a shared love of craftsmanship.
One of popham design’s most distinctive patterns, Squarish on Four, but on a larger scale and in terrazzo. A bold and confident design; curved, graphic forms in warm brick red, rich brown, and soft off-white, each speckled with classic terrazzo texture. Elegant yet playful, it’s a pattern that celebrates material honesty and modern design, grounded in craft and made to stand out.

Our terrazzo is made in a small workshop in Marrakesh…
…where every slab is crafted by hand by skilled makers. It’s a wonderfully tactile process, combining carefully selected local Moroccan stones with our signature, ice-cream-inspired palette to create something that feels both timeless and unmistakably Bert & May.
We’re passionate about where our materials come from, which is why all of the stone used in our terrazzo is sourced locally in Morocco rather than being shipped in from around the world. For us, responsible sourcing is as important as the finished product.
We’re incredibly proud to work with this small workshop and to support a team with excellent working conditions, while keeping the craft of traditional terrazzo making alive.
Every slab is unique, with its own subtle variations, colour and character - exactly the kind of imperfection we love.
