How many tiles will I need?
We recommend adding 10% extra on to your order to account for wastage. The exception to this rule is zellige, where we would recommend adding 15%. This additional % is called overage and you can adjust this % when using the tile calculator on this page.
If you have any questions about calculating overage, please contact design@bertandmay.com - being tile geeks, tiles + maths is a sweet spot for us!

Old soul, new life. Our Reclaimed tiles have seen decades of sun, steps, and stories, rescued and given another chapter.
Another Bert & May favourite and one which has almost become our signature pattern, this one is about as versatile as it gets. It can be tessellated in a number of different ways to create something contemporary and bold or timeless and classic. Whichever design you choose however, the finish will feature that beautiful surface character and lived-in tone that only a reclaimed tile can add. This tile is a good choice for just about anywhere, inside or out.
Each tile is solid encaustic — which means that the colour goes all the way through the tile, so a chip won’t ruin the look. They’re reclaimed, which means you’ll spot natural wear and surface quirks. That’s not a defect; it’s character. Seal them properly and they’ll last another lifetime.
