The Year in Review

2023 was a big year for us… From new launches to new showrooms, here are some of our highlights.

Striped Collection: Elevating Classic Patterns

Bert & May's Striped Collection was one of our key launches of the year, offering a fresh perspective on classic patterns. The collection combines our signature craftsmanship with contemporary design, resulting in a look that’s both timeless and forward-leaning. The stripes, in three different widths, bring a sense of sophistication to any space, be it a modern loft or a traditional home. Read more about the inspiration behind the collection here.

New Colours: Mineral Blue, Rosemary and Madder

2023 saw us introduce three new captivating colours: Mineral Blue, Rosemary and Madder. Earthy and tranquil, Mineral Blue brings a calming and sophisticated vibe, while soft, fresh Rosemary adds a touch of natural serenity, and deep, jewel-toned Madder injects warmth and vibrancy. Designed to expand the creative possibilities when it comes to curating colour palettes for any space, each one of these new shades has a natural partner within our signature palette.

Borders: Celebrating 10 Years of Timeless Design

For our new collection of border tiles, we trawled through the Bert & May archives, exploring patterns and motifs from our earliest - and most popular - collections to create a series of designs that celebrate and complement some of our most iconic tiles. From intricate geometric patterns to delicate motifs, each tile tells a story of the craftsmanship and design we’re known for. With 2023 marking ten years of Bert & May, three of the designs - the B, M and & tiles - were directly inspired by our name, and feature the familiar shapes of our initials in their patterns.

New York Showroom: Bert & May Crosses the Pond

Back in September, we partnered with Martin Kesselman, a NYC-based interior designer and colour expert, to launch Bert & May at INCOLOUR, his paint and colour studio and showroom at 100 Lafayette Street in Tribeca. While we’ve worked on many projects in the US over the last decade, having a presence there has provided even more opportunity for us to put our stamp on spaces stateside, and we’re excited to see what our Big Apple base brings next year.

Wishing you all a very merry Christmas! Looking forward to working with you in 2024.
