Canola Yellow Split Shift has been created in collaboration with Darkroom London…
…as part of the 'Split Shift' range, in celebration of London Design Festival. This outlet stock comes in a mix of all three patterns. The collaboration celebrates the simplistic beauty of three geometric shapes: the circle, the square and the triangle, which all come from the heart of Darkroom's signature aesthetic. We are excited to have worked with Darkroom on developing the designs in 5 new colour ways, all inspired by colours found in nature. Our Canola and Brighton Stone colour way is inspired by the colours found in straw.

We are immensely proud to have grown Bert & May alongside the same family of tile makers in Córdoba, Spain. Felix and his family are fourth-generation artisans, and together we have spent years perfecting what we believe to be some of the finest encaustic tiles in the world.
Every tile is still made by hand by a skilled team of artisans. There are no machine-perfect edges or clinical finishes here. Each tile carries the subtle imprint of the person who made it - a gentle variation in colour, texture and shape that makes every installation feel completely unique.
And yes, encaustic tiles ask a little more of you. They are beautifully substantial to lay and need a simple seal to protect them. But we think that is a small price to pay for something made with such care.
