Here at Bert & May we love to create and curate new looks, and we also love to collaborate with like-minded friends. Behind the scenes over the last few months, we’ve been chatting and meeting (virtually) with our friends at Fired Earth, and we are excited to announce that we have created a joint collection together.
Both our brands are known for our love of craftmanship and handmade products, and together we have created a brand new range that celebrates the best of both our worlds. Our new Bert & May at Fired Earth Bolonia collection is informed by an original design, which was selected from our archive of reclaimed tiles. The intricate and pretty design has been recreated in contemporary Navy and Blush colourways from our natural pigments. Soft tones and slight variations in shade add an air of faded glamour whether the tiles are used in period or contemporary settings.
Bolonia takes you back to a time of opulence and decadence. It’s a look that reflects heritage and it creates a lived-in and layered look. It looks striking when a room is styled with worn, vintage finds full of character paired with contemporary pieces, all pulled together with a simple and liveable palette.
The Blush Pink Bolonia
The Blush Pink Bolonia is pretty and feminine, sweet and delicate, and it creates a soft and romantic look. While you may not all have a gorgeously aged, peeling plaster wall, you can create a sense of old allure by adding wisps of foliage and antique trinkets.
The Navy Blue Bolonia
The Navy Blue Bolonia has a strong, opulent look, which looks beautiful with natural woods and a fresh white and blue palette to highlight the decorative patterns.
Both Navy and Blush Bolonia can be combined with our complementary chalky plain tiles for a more pared-back look.
